Geobrowsers community
The Geobrowsers community was formed following a workshop help at NIEeS in Cambridge in April 2007 (see this link for event details). The event brought together both users and developers of applications that allow environmental data to be discovered visualized using "geobrowsing" tools such as virtual globes and Web-GIS. A report from the workshop can be found here and some of the workshop material was published in a press article (link).
The main source of information on this site is the Community blog, where members can make contributions. This blog is also available via an RSS feed.
A (non-exhaustive) list of geobrowsing tools can be found here.
This Community exists to help scientists, data providers and software developers work together to share and visualize data effectively using these new tools. You can use this Community to swap ideas, experiences, and even codes and documents. Please see the User Guide for more details about how to use this community.
