Here's a tip from Chewy Trewhella of Google that I've been looking for a home for. The links below tell you how to create a custom Google Map from a published Google Spreadsheet.
This could be a good way to answer the oft-asked question "how can I publish my Excel data on a Google Map"? I guess you could upload your spreadsheet to Google Documents, publish the resulting Google Spreadsheet, then follow the wizard below.
